Sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes for one page to load and I have digital high speed cable. No other web sites I visit are this slow.

    Anyone else having a problem?

No, but Racing Junk is for me occasionally.

try pinging the site, and then doing a trace route on it. You'll find where the hang up is.

Randy... Will is probably just handicapping your connection to bring some parity to your posting abilities? Gotta keep things fair and balanced :D

    ???

    WJ,
How do you 'ping' and 'trace'?

go to "Tool's, then select "Internet Options", then select "Delete Files,
After that is done look at the "History" in the "Days to keep pages in history" select 1 day. and then click on "Clear History"
This helps for me, and NO I do not work for Geek Squad, try it I DARE YOU!

I installed a 'gizmo' in my laptop and picked up a little... try that.

If you still have trouble it probably needs more cowbell :p

Don't worry, I'm never going to change my mind on the Afuel/BAD parity debate, or allowing Afuel into TAFC...

    In windows:

    "Start" button
    "Run"
    Program to run: CMD

A black window will open up, with a command line interface.

Type "ping www.insidetopalcohol.com" (without the quotes)

It will show what your response time is to the server. Generally speaking, anything under 100 MS is good (yes, yes, I know, some of you on T3 lines will have a LOT faster).

In the same window, to do a trace route, type "tracert www.insidetopalcohol.com" (again, no quotes)

It will show you all of the hops from one router to the next. If you have a slow ping, you can then see where the issue is (whether it's your issue, or the web host, or an intermediary that nobody controls).

The ping, however, will only give you a web host response, and not necessarily a response from the web host database (equally if not more important than the web host base response).

Tried to explain it in simple terms. Hope I succeeded.
