Looking for help\opinions if I should change my trans ratios or rear gear in my blown alky door car. 2600lbs, cs2 3sp, Bruno, NSX converter. 1.84, 1.44 4.10 rear...1900 and 2000 rpm drop, 6% slip at the stripe. I changed the stator on my last run of the year, about 1000 rpm looser. The car reacted well, but had to get out of it a couple times. 9% slip and roughly 800rpm difference. With this stator I'm going to need at least a 3.70. Would it make more sense to change to a 1.67, 1.31 and go back to the tighter stator? would that tighten up the shift drop enough? Thanks guys.
