Excellent info... thanks to all for coming up and adding over 200 entries to the drag racing lists over the past few days... the alky guys are taking care of us...

If you haven't checked us out, please come out and edit your info or the info of your favorite driver... help us save the history of these important racers.

    Thanks. bp

Thanks for the kind words Mr. "Worlds Famous Alky F/C Pilot" The name of the driver of the Funny Farmer is Glenn Lazar. You know a Pinto F/C is more aerodynamic backwards !!! I didn't know Gene is your father in law ??!! Talk to you soon,,I am honored you are willing to paint a lowly "Jet " racer's Helmet,,,God Bless ..

Smokey the Bear was my father's BB Funny Car in the late 70's early 80's.
My father "Beaver" Wasson may be able to answer quite a few of your questions about the cars that were around during that time

Just a correction to something Bob Kraemer brought up in regards to Johnny Loper and his AA/FCs

They always had Johnny Loper and "Little Hoss" on the sides of his cars and the only two people that drove his AA/FCs were Eddie Pauling and Tripp Shumake (rip)

Johnny also campaigned a Top Fueler briefly in the early 80s with Phoenix resident Mark Niver ( Billet Bullet A/FD ) behind the butterfly.

Johnny never campaigned any TAFCs or TADs

    RIP Johnny and Tripp

It was Ace Manzo on the side of the car and the announcers did call Frank Ace but the truth is that Ace Manzo is the name of Frank's Fathers construction company in Matawan, NJ. they called hi father ACE
