Spokane County Raceway is looking to run 3 blown alcohol races in 2013. No it dont pay allot, who does? Im trying to helpout my home track and Craig Smith the track manager. He controls the monies, not me. Last year we paid on performance (et). 7.0-7.30, $300 6.99-6.50s $400 and $500 for 6.49-6.0. It was "chicago" style (one nite race) so everybody got 2 pay runs and the final 2 got 3 payouts. Im looking for funnys and altereds that can run in the 6.50-6.99 range. My e-mail is americanthunder1@netzero.net Now is the time to setup different formats and such. What do you think? I know there are many different associations and independents out there send me a proposal. Sorry No he wont pay $1000 a pass. yeah I know the costs.

What are the Proposed 3 dates,..??? that may make a difference with who can make it,..

Also is this for Nostalgia BB or modern TA/FC...???

$1500 for three passes is un grateful coin to run 6.20 or faster in a TA/FC,
If this is for Nostalgia BB/FC well then thats 6.50 et and slower..$1200 for 3 passes.

The proposed dates are divisional in may 24-25, also july 19-20 and august 16-17. as for payout, Im not a poser. I own and run a 6.70 f/c. I was a founding member of the nwbbfc and I know the cost to run a tafc. I also know what this track is willing to pay. To help out the track is having car, driver and eight (8) crewman in for free. That should help you get in to watch.

    Sorry I dont Spectate....

    :D

Maybe Spokane should have the new B/Fuel Eliminator class come and play, ....Nothing like a bunch of naturally aspirated Injected Nitro Font engine diggers, Altereds and Funny cars that will run 6.70 to 7.20 at 200 plus

    Need the number..

I know Jim Maroney from the WFA was looking to get some cars to do those races at Spokane. Looks and sounds like a neat deal. I went to Spokane with Neese and Knowles about 10 years ago to run the AHRA World Finals when Moe was still running the track. What an experience that was. good times

Thanks for the heads up on the WFA. I will contact them as well. I think they have sent Craig a proposal but will see. There are so many associations with various formats I doubt Craig will be able to run them all the way they want. Its his track to set the style.

Thanks to all who have called and e-mailed me about coming to Spokane to race the blown alcohol class. In fact Craig has asked me to seekout interest in a 7.50 or 7.60 class. Blown alcohol? anything?, NO electronics, What ya got, let me know. I think Spokane is trying hard to return as a fun track to race at.

I know of a couple guys that would probably come over if Craig would pay out to 7.60. Even if it was only a couple hundred bucks. Not sure if Craig is willing to do that or not, but it may bring more cars in. I'm planning on all three races.

Are we talking about a 7.60 bracket class? or pay down to a 7.60 say $200. At what point do we cut off for performance? I remember when blown alcohol in Spokane was a joke, 7sec bracket cars running with blown cars because that was all that Orville could get to show up. I hope not to return to those days. The fans deserve performance; more than just because you have a blower you deserve money.

I was just tryin to help get a few more cars to show up. The 7.60 number comes up as there are a few cars that are only tagged to a 7.50. They aren't legal to run any quicker. Thats were NE 1 came from in the Heritage Series. Huge class at all of there races. They still do the big burnouts and make the noise. It doesn't matter to me what Craig desides. Just a thought.

We need as many cars as possible, thats why Im thinking of the 7.60 class as a seperate group so we can run ALL cars that have a blower. Just wonder where to make a cutoff for the "unlimited" class. Its restricted to f/c and altereds as is. I do appreciate the input, dont read to much into my tone of writing.

    More than 1 Group?

Mark, are you talking about having more than 1 group of blown cars? i.e... an "unlimited" class and a 7.50 class....

    talking

We have time to "talk" and see what interest there is in different classes. The 7.50 or 7.60 would be a bracket race open to those who can run the number. So far it would be a pay entry and go rounds for monies. Just like everybody is doing elsewhere. NE1, etc. I have acouple more ideas that I will see if Craig will accept. Its his track, he's looking for those that want to race.

We would go over there and run and have run 6.80's on that track before.

    Mark,
We are planning on bringing the Altered Reality Racing altered to the July and August Races. We might even bring the dragster too. Thanks for the invite.

    Mark,
We might make it over earlier to test. Let us know if you add any races.

    Hey Mark,
What does the car count look like so far? We may even make it for the May race it looks like.

Car count is good but not full. The payout is for the quick 16 cars per round. No dragsters at this race.
