Is there a soft cost with the rule change or will the A-fuelers still have a significany advantage on the blown cars.

Mark Niver told me in Vegas that the rules change would not affect 80% of the AF/D's. Mark is a very honest guy, and he said he felt sorry for us(the BA/D owners) but didn't see any help coming our way. From talking to AF/D racers that I feel I can trust, the rule change might slow the AF/D's between .00 to .05 seconds.
As far as hard or soft costs of running a competitive car in the alcohol classes, it's not cheap. We've all got to replace cranks, rods, pistons, rings, pins, head gaskets, bearings, cams, pans, valves, springs, and every other part on the car at regular interevels. We just have to hope our investments help us to run faster.
It's a terrible disease to have.

    Happy Thanksgiving to you all,
    Marty
