Congratulations to Ron and Dad, and family, hard runners who have been knocking on the door, I'll never forget when Ron booted a big name pro-stock guy out of line who tried to slide in front of us at the scales at Pomona, Ron told him where the end of the line was and it would be better for him if he started at that end. Pete and I were scheduled to go but subsequently decided to park it for a while. When I told Leigh Anne Anderson this she told me how Ron August intended to go but his entry had slipped through the cracks and the field was full so they could not go. I contacted Ron August, NHRA and Mike Rice to make arrangements for him to take our spot at the last minute. Fortunately, Ron and team made the best of it. Couldn't happen to a better group!
