Retarding timing at launch

If your running 25 initial and you pull 15 out and phase it at max retard, then your phase will be 15 degrees out when the timing comes back in, if you split it then your only 7 degrees out max

 

gotcha' - Thanks. Us dumb nitrous door car guys don't put the timing back in. So we set phase at max retard.

We move it a lot, as you've seen. From "X" degrees out, all the way back to 28-30, depending on base timing. We just split it since we do that, rather than pull it to maximum retard like the N2O cars.
