    strip

They come apart really nice. Make sure you buy the teflon from DMPE as the sizes vary a little.
I just did my K9 and the only hard part is holding the rotors while you torque the gear bolts to 100 ft lbs.I use two guys and some prybars.

Quick hint: BEFORE you touch anything, mark it, left gear to spline, right gear to spline, when the rotors go back in and you can't find your marks, you have done what is the biggest no-no there is.........backward rotors, motor idles nice, but don't try to step on throttle! gush........
Not me, and I'll be dead if I tell

Wear gloves when pulling the strip or get ready to buy one of those busted knuckle garage shirts. I made a small vice to hold my rotors when I did them if you like ill shoot some pics your way.

It was very easy to make! the hard part for me on the first one was what to use for the ends of the rotors. once that was figured out it was even easier.

    Enjoy and anytime.

Use parts from a gear or pulley puller, the fine threaded "pusher" and the tapered end.

    gear puller and rotor holder

I was going through some boxes from the old shop and ran across our roots blower servicing tools. I put up some shots of our gear puller and rotor holder up on the equpment page. (at the bottom)

My description of how to use the puller would be better if I still had a roots blower to use it on.

    Enjoy!
