    Brownman,
I think you have a very perceptive view of the TAD
& TA/FC marketing problems. One thing on the TV coverage that would help is to have an airing time (if not same day)that was within a few days of the event and on a fixed schedule. Say Wed. night of the week following the race at 8 pm.
The prob. with ESPN is that it is just a filler for their programing!

HOW ABOUT SOME IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR A CLASS NAME CHANGE.

SOMETHING THAT WOULD PROJECT A MORE PROFESSONIAL CLASS.

There is another prob. here and that is the spectator turnout at divisional races. I don,t know about other divisions but in div.4 there are "no" none !!!!
When you have the car counts that we have and when we are the featured classes you would think if there was some advertising done the tracks could draw more than enough people to offset the advertising costs plus make a profit. When you have the third quickest and fastest class in dragracing at these events and do not even run a radio add you are missing the boat.
I was at an IHRA track in the piney woods of east Texas a few weeks ago and they had a couple of jet cars that only ran 185 mph and there were more spectators than all the div. 4 races combined. Guess what they did some advertising.
It is not just national events that create followings for the racers.
    ENOUGH????????

    Hey Guys!
You have got to know that no one goes to watch any divisional events. They are financed mostly by the huge amounts of racers who participate in them. The truth of the matter is that TA/FC and TAD simply don't belong with that group. They should be elevated to a pro level and run at events with the Big Dogs. Try sitting in the stands and watching HUNDREDS of cars trying NOT TO GO TOO FAST! That makes no sense. The problem is that if they pull the ALKY classes from the venue then there won't be anything exciting to watch.....at all. The only pure level of racer exhist at the ALKY level. It is a go as fast as you can bracket and is held together by a group of people that fund most operations out of the family budget. You gotta love it!

    PRO ALKY / FC ?
