Wilson Racing South Bound to Baytown!

Winfield, Mo., This weekend's NHRA / Lucas Oil Division 4 Drag Racing Series event, at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas just outside of Houston March 11th-13th is in the first NHRA Divisional Event for 2005 for the Torco Race Fuels / Wilson Racing Top Alcohol Dragster Team.

The Torco Race Fuels / Wilson Racing Team is looking to improve this weekend after they encountered numerous engine problems at the NHRA POWERADE National Event in Pomona CA. They are also preparing for their next NHRA / POWERADE National event, the MAC Tools Gatornationals. "We have several goals this year and that includes remaining in the top 10 National. We have made a few changes already do to the fact that in this sport, either you are making changes and going forward or you are going backwards. Drag Racing is like a Chess Game, you need to be a step ahead of your competitors and find that extra Horsepower before they do." stated Wilson.

"Our entire team has worked very hard all winter to get a hole-shot on our Division 3 competitors and we want to be ready for the first Lucas Oil Division 3 event in Indy. That leads to our next goal, we have won the NHRA / Lucas Oil Division 3 Championship twice and we would love to make it three times." stated Wilson.

We have numerous programs in the works that we hope to introduce this year that will clearly demonstrate our commitment to the future of this team as well as our sponsors commitment to our team and NHRA Championship Drag Racing." stated Team Manager Donna Wilson.

We appreciate all the support we receive from all of our sponsors week after week," commented Wilson. (Torco Race Fuels, STARCON, Spitzer Race Cars and Composites, Mickey Thompson Tires, Valvoline, Scott Shop Towels, Abmira Program Design, NGK Spark Plugs, American Colorscans Commercial Graphics, and Scott Mack Designs.) "We look forward to doing our best each and every run, all year long, and hopefully we can put them in the winner's circle again this weekend."
