Has there ever been a better side-by-side TAFC race than the second round match between Doug Gordon and Cy Chesterman? Here's the stats if you haven't seen them:
    R/T ET MPH
    Gordon .039 5.587 255.63
    Chesterman .072 5.555 257.78

That's a MOV of .001, or 7 inches (according to NHRA.com). Also, is that the quickest side-by side race in TAFC history?

I wish I was there to witness that race.

The entire event was right up there. That pass was definitely something special, but whole shootin' match is what I cannot wait to see. Would have loved to be there in person.

It was a great event and glad that I had the opportunity to attend! A dozen TAFC runs in the 50's, four BAD runs in the 20's, 6 TF runs in the 40's and a new speed record, record speeds in FC and near record ETs.

Plus the Jeg's Allstars and seeing sportsman competitors who would not normally make the trek to midwestern tracks. A great weekend -- except for the cold weather and almost constant threat of rain.
