    Just to throw in the mix here with what JD pointed out... there is a good reason for that. Alcohol is classified as a polar solvent.... get it 'solvent', like the stuff you use to clean up and remove oil. so depending on whose slick stuff is in your pan/sumptank the problems really begin when the oils' ability to resist solvents is reached. that will depend on the additives/formula each manufacturer uses. but once that threshold is met... you'll have a clean (and probably very unhappy) bearing not to mention an crying wallet.

    Speaking of wallets wasn't it Herb Rogers that said that your right foot is connected to your brain through your right hip pocket?
