I was told that since they started a cylinder head moratorium years ago that we must run NHRA accepted heads. I can't seem to find this list on NHRA racer or anywhere else. Does anybody have a list? Does NHRA have a list? Does anyone ever check? Can you machine your own heads? Or is this just an old wives tale?

    Chuck,
I don't know why we can't see the list, just like with NHRAs other accepted products.
I do know, a couple years ago when Total Flow built their new heads, they had to get a list of rules and. submitted technical drawings., If that got approved, you could then build an actual head. When the head was complete, you send it to Glendora where they check it out for 3 months. Then if all meets the moratorium rules, you can build that exact head. Any changes are supposed to be submitted for re-approval.

    See y'all soon,
    Marty
