We have a 511 CI Schumacher block with Veney heads on a modified pulling tractor. We pulled the rods out of it and had them checked and the small end is 2 thousandths out. They have approximately 20 passes on them with a 8-71 supercharger 60% OD. We're switching to a 14-71 at 50% OD for this season. We have around 14-16 hooks this year. Do you think we'll be safe running one more season on them? They are MGP rods. New ones wouldn't be here til the end of May early June.

IMHO, by the end of the season, you would be pushing it. When we were supercharged (14 at 45% in a mini), 40 passes was the limit (BBC). If you are like other pullers, you warm up before hooking....those warmups count also--heat cycles. But that is just my experience. JW
