What is the recommended CO2 Pressure used to shift a Lenco CS1 Transmission?

Also has anyone used the Dual Output Contendor "Shifnoid" PSI Regulator or always the one sold by LENCO?

Curious if the Contendor PSI Regulator moves enough volume of CO2

    Thanks

You can in fact adjust how hard/fast the shifts are by playing with the pressure.
Lower pod pressure gives softer shifts so it dose not break loose.
Higher pod pressure gives quicker harder shifts.
150 is the usual middle starting point.
Polishing the shift fork helps a lot for consistent shifts.
Going to low on the pressure you get lazy shifts and faster transmission clutch wear requiring frequent changes.
Going to high on the pressure shocks the transmission and drive-train. This can cause tire shake.
I use a 50 up and 50 down window to adjust for track conditions. 10 pounds makes a difference.
Pressure gets lower with a longer line and or restrictive shifter passages. So pressure should be checked at the pod not just at the bottle with the regulator.

Gary , i do not think the CS1 is any different from the CS2 as far as servo pressure requirements.
    I do know 240psi is recommended pressure for a CS2 ;)

    CS-1 is 150 psi and a CS-2 is 250 psi

    Agreed Cs2 is 250 and Cs1/# is 150....
whilst on topic of this a quick question..
Any one used the Cs1 airpods on the Cs2?(can you put 250psi into a 150 psi small pod?)

No you can't switch them out. They may look the same on the out side but they are very different on the inside. And FYI a CS2 trans. with a CS1 150 PSI regulator will shift on jack stands but it will not stay shifted under a load.

Along the same theme, is there a difference in using Co2 compared to compressed air or nitrogen. Is the potentially a problem with Co2 freezing or restricting lines or fittings?
