When you say dribbler, do you mean a Nozzle Body that has a built in check valve?

Yes. or; on a 16 port line system we have 8 dribblers (primarys) on a #5 check and 8 ports (secondarys) on a #25

With a screw blower,if you have 16 nozzle's in the ports 8 of them don't come in until the poppet goes off at a set rpm, it's like having a lo speed lean out, witch a screw likes. can't do that with 8 nozzle's. and when they come in a screw likes that too.

The ports open the instent you matt it.

On a roots the ports would most likelly be #15 or less so they open staging.

Long time ago in a galaxy far far away I asked if anyone drilled a small .030 hole in the port check No one heard.

At idle the fuel pressure is so low that I would think that fuel coming through a .030" hole might not be very well distributed through the block and to the nozzles.

I dont think distribution would be a problem ;might be though. 75% leakdown=.075 jet, distributes to hat areas = to .150 or more.

I think some old timers use to do that, before dribblers and spaghetti nightmare.
