That's great - anyone have a prediction on the et it will take to qualify #1 and also for the bump (both classes). I hope it is a little on the hot side so the blower guys can keep up with the AFD's - nothing like close competition.

TJ I believe we will see a new record bump spot for TAD. TAFC not sure if we will see a record bump spot unless some more heavy hitters enter.

TJ, I think the A/Fuel cars will run away with it! It's not even arguable anymore.

Joe the a/fuel cars will most likely take the top spots in qualifying but during eliminations anything can happen.

    Tony,
You never know where you might run into us. If Jason Cannon can't be healed in time, maybe we'll fill his spot.
Last count I had looked like 28 TA/D's entered. You'll have to run in the 40's to make the show, and yes (as always), an AF/D will get the Low Qualifier Award.
I vote we move the US Nationals to Windy Hollow Raceway (Owensboro, KY.). We always had pretty good luck there. Not alot of room for error.

You guys don't think a BAD could have got in on this at Sonoma?

Seems the parity issue isn't an issue at all, in Fantasyland anyway!

I'll bet a blown car doesn't make it in the top five! I sure would like to know what NHRA's thinking, A-Fuelers are running .20's Gallore. I'm glad I'm not spending $5-6,000 to run agains't that!

I would love to see a blown car win Indy this year. It would be one unbelievable accomplishment. Or pure luck.

Some hope, but hope is like thinking NHRA will take care of the parity issue.

As much as I would love to see a Blown car win also, it would be strictly luck! Unless you can run low 30's all day long! Won't happen!

You're right Marty...I was there when you set the track record a few years back. But I imagine that wouldn't fly, the fuel cars would really plow some corn.

What was the track record? I know we had it at 4.01 and then I think you lowered it to 3.89? That place was something else. Lots of fun to race there for the fans.

I think your right, move the US Nationals there...all those guys with big trailers won't be able to get on the grounds. [IMG]

I believe Russ is not going to Indy this year.

We ran a 3.88 and a 3.89 there AND got stopped. It was on some of the 3.9's passes that we visited the field. To my dying day, I will never forget bouncing through the field, side-by-side with T.J. It was much less stressful when you had the only car in the field to worry about.
Had some pretty interesting shutdowns at the Ashland, KY. track also. It was fine as long as you made the dogleg, missed the mountain, and stayed out of the pond.
That's what I'm gonna do in my old age. Sit around and think about old racing memories.
