How much HP will a GM Block hold

    A few years ago someone told me that above 1,700-1,800 the rear main journal area has a tendency to rip out. Whether it's true? My Rodeck has an extra rib there running up to the cam journal.

    showed 1000+ at the wheels
    grout filled, .030 bore , std crank , 4 bolt main, std cast caps, std bolts
    regularly went 7.2 @ 191 AT 1900 LBS
    kept the rpm down 7000 and under
    355 cubes @ 32 psi
    twin turbo mech injection
