Chamber cc, number of intake bolts, number of exhaust bolts, intake and exhaust size is only a start. Many variations. Find an old timer fuel racer close by.

Old timers are basically non existant around here in East Texas. I was just curious if there was a quick way to ID them since they don't have the letters on the ends of the heads. I have been told that they are BAE heads. Sounds good to me. Either way they are the ones that I am going to use. LOL.

Will have to get some pics of the outside of the heads. Outside of head is all machined, like a billet head. 10 bolt intake and 10 bolt exhaust. Was told they are Brad 3 fuel heads. Was also told they are Vinney's. No idea. Just curious.

See if there is numbers stamped in the middle of the exaust flange.

The number should start with an "8".

Notice most of the spring area is not machined, but a forged surface.

This is a pic before installation. Hard to see in car with motor plates and stuff. Maybe this will help. If not maybe I can do something else. Thanks.

Maybe Donnie Holm, or early Stage 5. Stage 5 make billet heads in the late '80's. Chauvin Emmonds, or maybe early BAE.

450339100chipster_013.jpg This is the best I can get. Everything is in the way for a good pic. The exhaust ports are rectangle. 2" tall by 2.5" wide. Got gaskets from RBS. says they fit BAE,AJPE, and Dart.

From those pics, I'd say those are Dart forgings. They should have a serial number stamped on the exhaust flange.
