head stud lenght for short deck KB block

    hi would anybody know the length of studs needed for a short deck block with older dart billet heads and std cast stand rockers stands?

    You can check it yourself by inserting something into the stud holes, with the head and rocker assy on, allowing for the nut on top.

    The bottom 16 are all the same, the one opposite the mag drive hole is different than the other upper 9.

    So, you should end up with 3 different lengths.

    The bottom 16.
    The one opposite the mag drive.
    The other upper 9.

    Also, note if the block is 1/2, or 9/16.

    head stud lengths for short deck KB

    The length w/ a KB stage 5 (standard deck) and BAE fat heads is 10 9/16", the short stud is 8 5/8". I know this does not exactly answer your question but hope it helps

    Thx rob, would u know if u can use dart or Veney fuel heads on a short deck 10.200 hemi block? Heard push rod problems thx
