Just REMEMBER one thing. It is not lbs. per cid

    So Bob,

What do you think the advantage is for the Afuel cars using the formula?

    Dan
I am and old TF racer who quit to concentrate on business and had some degree of success here in the div. 4 area. I quit when NHRA stopped running TF in the divisions as I could not afford to chase the National Races. There was no other place to raqce without hitting the road and leaving family.
This said I have an afuel car that we are trying to get up to speed.
All I know is that it takes HP to run fast. You can effect the et to a certain degree with clutch,
gear, etc. but you can't go fast without HP. In my estimation for MG to run 280 mph the hp required is above 3500.
In the past this kind of hp from a nat. asp. engine of this cid no one would have ever dreamed of.
The size of the engine doesn't seem to be a real factor. I am sure there are some guru's out here to have the answers to all the questions of how this is accomplished but beware. HE WHO KNOWS NOT AND KNOWS NOT THAT HE KNOWS NOT IS A FOOL.
I wish I had the answer to these questions but as most of the time it is trial and error that produces results.
Promise to keep my replies short from now on.

Hey Mitch, thanks for letting us all know which engine combo you run. Now when you start to fly the rest of us will know that that combo works so we can then use it. Then again if it doesn't then we'll know not to use it.
