Called my friend who is in Dallas and he just called me back after talking to Doug Foley and Tim Lewis ! They were told by NHRA that due to them causing 3 oil downs / cleanups they were DQed! I did not know that you could be dqed because of that ! So if John Force or Kenny Bernstein did that would they be DQed?! Most likely not!! Typical NHRA trying to screw the alcohol classes!

    That is bs.

The only way you should be dq is if you blow-up and instead of pulling over to the wall you coast down the middle.

TA clases have had that rule all year. (first time it had to be enforced). It is to bad though. They asked the same question on the 'mater board why early this afternoon, and I posted early this afternoon it was because of oil downs.

This is not an NHRA conspiracy folks.

They did the same thing in Seattle to Gordie Bonin (he qualified for the t/f field, but due to causing 3 oildowns was dq'ed).

It IS a rule, not just an arbitrary one-time decision.

We blew up our puke tank during a warm up and went to our back up tank which was too small to be very effective (that's why it was a back up).

We tried borrowing a puke tank from other teams but nobody had any available. We changed the feed lines and even built a bracket overnight in an attempt to solve the problem but all for naught.

Yes, we are disappointed but we feel that NHRA was justified with the ruling which is that after three oildowns you are DQ'd. Even Big Jim felt badly but we are not mad at anyone (except ourselves).

We will just have to budget for TWO tanks for next year.
