I had a similar problem, that ended up where a fuel check valve was stuck open. A drill will turn the pump fast enough, but the cranking speed of the engine alone was not enough to prime the pump. I would start there.

What kind of car are you running? Did you relocate fuel cell recently?

    Fuel Pump

We Had A Customer With A Drag Boat Exact Problem. No Matter What We Did The Boat Speed Up. A Huge High Speed. Luckily The Motor Did Not Burn Itself Up.

I have 1-1/4" 90's on the shelf, with the hi-buck silicone hose. (TIP : do not use black rubber)

John; Saturday only. Balerina lessons Sunday.

There is no such thing as too much fuel getting to the pump (up to 1.5 times the inlet diameter).
