Division 3, Why Stanton Michigan???

    I hadn't thought about the pit area. Stanton when it rains turns into a lake. The paved pit area is like an upside down bowl witout a drain. Just ask Dave Hirata what he thought of it after a rain storm in 2002. The water was coming into the back of his trailer. It was literaly 3 feet deep and covered almost the entire paved pit area. They had to call water trucks in to pump it out. It's a joke! 2 races at Joliet sounds GREAT!!!!

    It's the tracks decision what sanction they will race under. Martin was supposed to be an NHRA track after the renovations were made, but IHRA offered a national event. I've been told by a few people NHRA has a real hard-on about getting Martin back under their fold.

    from a very good source this is probably the last year for a points meet at Stanton. Martin is looking pretty good for 2005 season.
