I don't want to sound like a killjoy,

But I would hold on to the old converter just incase. In my opinion consistant1.00 60s in a 3460 lb blown car on a 31/10.5 is a pretty respectable number.

I hope I am totally wrong, it would not be the first time

I think your heading the right direction with the compression and the titanium valves ,who's to say that maybe your not floating those heavy valves and costing you some top end power.
The increase in compression should give you more at the hit and if your on the edge with traction now ,you can pull a little timing to knock that down and with more compression and a little less timing you should pull a little harder on the top end.

Thanks for all the input guys. I will let everyone know after this coming weekend. I am gonna test Friday night and saturday night. Just a couple easy runs on Friday to break the motor in and get a handle on tune up with the new compression, and get a feel for the convertor. Its a BOLT TOGETHER and we changed the stator from a 10 blade to a 12 so it should be about 600 looser than before at the hit, fin angle was the same. I got the long block in the frame rails and alot of work to do still. Thanks again I am learning.

I leave the line with 11* total then back to 32 ramped by the finish line. Still learning what it likes on that little tire.

Did you spend the 5 grand and go with the aluminum chance deal? If its good enough for Mobley  ...

Good luck with it, getting the new found power to the ground should take a couple of laps but the charge out the back end should be rewarding right away.

I use Protorque converters in Tennessee. I have ran the rest, with Jamie @ protorque we get the personal attention we disire and he changes what we tell him instead of he thinks we need. And at 1/2 the price of chance and NO BREAKAGE like I had before.
The proof is in our powergilde Dragster that my Tuner and good friend runs. On its first full pass he went 3.93 @ 188 with a glide and my convertor. The other stuff he was spending money on wouldnt get down the track.

    Nice stuff for sure.

As for my indy intake here is what I run with the 14/71 HH K8 rotor

front to back 48 to 52 spread in the hat..
38 to 42 in the down nozzle.

    NICE :D:D:D

I run very close to those times, with 3450Ibs on a big tire.. but on 31's that is VERY impressive IMO.

Ive asked before, not sure if you remember.. but I would love to know how much fuel your burning in GPM. Im still a bit lost on my tune up.

Also what Density Altitude do you race at

    Congrats!!!

The way the Indy manifold is made, it might distribute air more evenly without the setback:confused: That's the way it appears to me.

I would also like to know the GPM you're burning, please PM me. Thanks
