How hard is it to re strip and time a dmpe k11 and can it be done correctly by a first timer?
And what is needed to do it?
Are there any videos or info on the procedure.

I did it. Your gonna need stripping material, front plate bearing seals , 3/4 quart of redline shock oil. Plus blower gel. Text me I can walk you thru it. 248-8842278.

Yes it's just as well. Yes you need a lathe with a 24 in travel. You measure the case Id and then pull the Teflon and cut it down til there is .001-.002 clearance max. The tighter the better. Most cases aren't round so keep in mind it's hard to get the same reading. I was at kalitta place and was told how to do them. They said to set it as close to zero as possible. It starts to wear as soon as it starts up.

That's why you want to really lube it before first start up. If you find tiny flakes of teflon around car after warmup, start over. ;)
