(Just remember)..the trick to any type of lube like we are using it for is you want it to stay on the rotors and not ..lets say wash off..that helps seal it up plus it save's on Teflon strips..as who you get it from I don't care what you use...I don't care.. but what I do care about is less maintenance..p.s. when you service your blower that has had prizm in it the only think to use to clean it off is the product called Bonified..hope this helps..Dave

Have any of you noticed the film inside the manifold that that stuff leaves?
I would say that it restricts the flow of fuel, It's some kind of black $#!t.
When i bought my manifold it was used and had that $#!t all over the inside,
had to clean it with gas to get it off, alky just washed buy it, with no efect.
So after you use that stuff, you need to take your manifold off and wash it out with GAS other wize your restricting the flow to the cyl. just saying.
Tip of the day, Gene Terenzio Sr.
P/S Theres nothing new under the sun, so if you think of something new, I's not, it's just God letting you see into the future!

How often does one use Prizm? And what's the best method for using it? Take off the belt, spray in through the hat and rotate rotors by hand?

    Lube

We used both PJ1 and Prizem
Prizem seems thicker and sticks to everything

As far as a roots blower I spray Prizm into the injector up and down the rotors and turn the motor over with a breaker bar and spay it again. I do it before every run and the blower booster stays up there for a long time. Before we started using it on a fresh blower you would get four runs with high boost then it would level out for around 12 runs the it would have to be restriped. We sure get way more than that using it. On the screw blower car ghat has coated screws I spray it in at the top and bottom of the butterflies while at idle. PSI says it helps save the coatings. Only needs it on initial start in the morning but doesn't hurt to spray a little before each run. PSI says you can't put too much in.

Interesting statement about seeing the film inside the manifold because that is the coating you want to make the blower strips last longer. I bet that coating inside doesn't restrict the airflow as much as the loss of boost due to worn strips. Priszm a great lube for other things, I use it on the electric steps on my motorhome. Spays on as a liquid and gets into all points then turns into a gel and stays there. It works on anything like that.
