BAE Sleeve Replacement

    How is the easy way to remove sleeves,have the slide hammer but seems to beat the block up.

    Any other tool better??

    Did you heat the block? Mine came out smooth as silk.

    a little heat go's a long way!!!!!!!!!! they pop right out, I freeze them to put them back in,dry ice works great!!!!!!!!!

    Put a heat lamp or two over the block all night then they will come out real easy. Then like already said put the new sleeve in the freezer for a couple of hours then drop it into that warmed up block.

    Same thing applies at the track, if you hurt a cylinder. Even if you have all night to fix it, get the sleeve changed while the block is still hot. Also, there are screw type pullers available.

    In the shop, if we are changing all 8 we heat to 225.
