B&J end play check

    B& J three Speed
    How do I check the end play for each unit?
    Will call Mike later today he is headed to Vegas,
    I have the Clutch pack checking diagrams. and the parts diagrams.

    Converting to Three Speed B&J from Lenco 2 Speed.

    The way I was taught was to put a big set of vice grips on the shaft and pull the fill or drain plug out to watch the clutch drum. I think .010-.015 is the spec, which is basically enough to say you have some end play. It is adjusted by adding or subtracting shims on top of the sprag race.

    Sean Brown makes a tool for holding a dial indicator you check the clearance before you put the next planetary on I have pic and specs if you need
