    does anyone know if he has announced who will be driveing the dragster for him next year?

    Part of me wonders if Jim Head is under consideration. He and AJ are good buddies, ya never know

    AJ likes the engineering aspect of the car to much to drive. When he stepped out of the seat for Blaine in the 80's we were all sand racing in Central Calif. I don't think he ever had the passion to drive, it was just a matter of Blaine getting old enough for someone else to drive that had the passion.

    Personally I will not be surprised for him to pick a new and upcomer to train. Less bad habits to overcome.

    I have heard the name Larry Dixon pop up. On todays "From the Tower" on inside alcohol, Bob says that Tommy Johnson Jr. has been fitted into a car. I predict the wait wont be much longer.:rolleyes:

    I am sick of hearing the insider scoops.
    Tommy Johnson
    Larry Dixon
    Doug Kalitta
    Alan himself
    Whit Blazemore
    Hillary Will
    And the list goes on of drivers that have been verified to me by "insiders".
    I am no insider, but I know who the driver is going to be.

    Now that it looks like it will be larry dixon who will drive for the snake. He has spencer massey but not till 2010.

    If Larry leaves Snake, Spencer is the new driver effective immediately.

    The 2010 deal was if the seat was filled in 2009.

    It was announced that Larry Dixon will drive for Alanabi/Johnson. Spencer massey will step in for Larry in 2009 rather than the projected 2010.
