$20k to win TAD race update...

The 20k to win TAD race is not dead! We're still actively working a few deals, and hopefully will hear an answer back before the end of the week.

A few things to note as the date and venue has changed:

The date of the event will be Aug 19-20, the venue will be Houston Raceway Park. The event will feature several heads up doorslammer classes along with the TAD show. Qualifying sessions will be at 8 and 10 Friday night, with a $1000 Shelly Howard Memorial Low Qualifier Award.

For those of you just tuning in on this race, this will be the ultimate TAD Blown vs. A/Fuel shootout for the largest payout in TAD history. The promoters are putting up $16k towards the TAD purse with each TAD competitor paying a $1000 entry fee. With a 16 car field, it will pay $20,000 to win! To stir the pot, it will be run under 'outlaw' rules - cars only need to meet safety specs. No fuel check, no scales, no counting blower pulleys...however, if a blown car is cackling, it won't be allowed to run.

Qualifying Friday night, Race Saturday 6,7:30,9 & 10:30

Hopefully the next announcement will be 'official'....but that's the current scoop, so mark your calendars!
