19 years ago today...

    May 7th 1989, Bob Newberry became the first TAFC racer to run in the 5's which was followed up a few minutes later by Peter Gallen...

    While Bob Newberry raced every year since then, Peter Gallen retired within just a year or two of that historic day...

    What is ironic is that Bob retired from driving at the end of last year while Pete returned to the sport this year to take over the driving chores for Rich McPhillips...

    Hard to believe that was 19 years ago already...

    Seems like just yesterday...

    19 years ago? That makes me....19 years older.

    Did Pete and Rich have the opportunity to go out at the beginning of the session, but chose to wait until the end?

    When was Faria's "First in the Fives" run made?

    Sure wish the incrememental times from that pass were around, I'd like to compare them with the PM times were now seeing.
