13.9/14MM Belts/Pulleys

    OK... can some one give me the skinny here??

    what is the interchangability (is that a real word?) of 13.9 and 14MM belts and pulleys? i have heard yes and no as to whether you can mix them.

    the latest 'answer' i heard is if you run a 13.9 belt you can 'cheat' and run one 13.9 pulley and one 14 pulley? truth or BS?

    The larger the pulley, the less you can get away with. If your using a 14mm pulley larger than 39 or 40 teeth you should stick with a 14mm belt. Smaller pulleys on top 26 to 30 teeth aren't a problem.

    there is only one 13.9 belt the rest are 14mm, you can run the 13.9 on 14mm pulleys, but not recommended, you cannot run 14mm belts on 13.9 pulleys, the teeth will not mesh.
