Wait a few hours... Wizbang has had a bunch of mags done by Cirello. I'm sure he has the pricing memorized. He works 2nd shift and I don't...
What happens though when you decide to race at a lower altitude track? Are you planning on compression ratio changes with head gaskets? So...
Amen brother. I fully agree that if a part is hurt, it should be flagged by the track and sent in. But parts don't go bad sitting on the shelf....
Figures... They get ya coming and going. I wonder how much harm a lacquer thinner douche would do,
Dave; Here's a great source on bearings: http://www.bocabearings.com/
Speaking of the blower gel... How the hell do you clean it out from an assembled blower? I'm looking at having my SSI Mag case powder...
Yeah, I bought a can of it from RBS... Figured I'd hose it inside the blower before I started it each weekend. I've yet to spray it on anything...
Are you being serious? I'm seriously asking, because I thought of it for just that purpose.
Considering the video I just watched on your website, I think I'd be stepping up to something a little more stout like the bars from Tim McAmis....
Kind of depends on what Mallory Mag you had prior. How many amps was your Mallory?
You say that like it's a bad thing.
Well heck, you can do that with standard GM 990 heads. I ran a 4.350" bore for the past 10 years without an issue with a standard truck block.
My bad typo... Yes, 4.25, NOT 5.25. I should have also noted it's a 10.2 deck.
4.610" Bore 5.25" Stroke 6.385" Oliver Rod 1.5:1 Rod/Stroke ratio. 568 CID
That would probably explain it... But I'm not Karnak and wouldn't know that from here in the St. Louis metro area.
Called them throughout the day yesterday, and just now this morning. Nobody is answering. 440-243-8668 is the number I got from the NHRA...
Not too long of a post at all. Good information.
Well, I guess that you've disproved the smaller Bug/Bird length (12.25") on a smaller blower opening (9.5-10.5"). But, a Buzzard has a 15"...
Where are you at Duane? Somewhere down here in southern IL based on the area code.
Did you reduce the inlet size of your buzzard to the smaller F-Rotor opening? If so, do you have any photos of how you accomplished it?
