Made some good passes in my car this weekend got some video from the rear and noticed the car squats really hard on passenger side at initial hit and stays lower on passenger side about half way down the track, friend of mine says he could see front driverside tire about 8" off ground to probably 330'. My question is I got a guy that built a friend of mines car and he swears putting the X brace under 4 link are a bigger anti role bar will stop it from doing that. . The videos are on YouTube under Raymond Humphries Firebird if someone wants to look at give me some advice.. The car hasn't really ever squatted that hard but I'm just getting the motor all dialed in since freshening. .. If u watch the video and notice how car goes alittle left in the burnout that's another thing I'm wondering about it never done that before only thing I did was put new tires on it and that's the first time out with new tires. I measured role out and they matched up so that has me puzzled also..

Give us a specific video link

I searched and found lots of videos, if you could give a link to a specific video showing your issues, you might get more help.

Rear anti-roll works awesome in my car, highly recommend. I have X link in bottom of 4 link, the only thing I am sure it does well is locate the rear.....

Bigger rear sway bar would help

I think a big sway bar will help. I changed from a smaller one to this incredibly beefy one, that was a good move. As far as X-brace vs. wishbone, it won't hurt, but your wheels looked centered and stable.

If it is squatting to hard, moving IC up will pull some of that, but only change one thing at a time.

What IC, AS and shock settings do you have? How much preload on upper right as well?

It does have a decent size role bar in it now, Its a Gerhart built car, been running at 6 psi.. car was working good no shake are anything crazy and thats good for SCR and as far as being in the car it felt great, It's just watching in the videos I can see how it squats hard on that passenger side..

4.5 is hauling the mail for sure, I would head toward the stiffest roll bar I could get. It hasn't steered me wrong

By the way, I like all the cool new Pro Mod bodies that are available......... But Love when guys and gals put stock dimension bodies on full chassis cars. Call me old, or retro, just super fum IMO.

4.5 on our old track isn't bad forsure, If i don't pull timming out its not so pleasant at our track... your car is a beast. See how it dont move it just leaves, that's what I'm looking for, mine is all twisted like a pretzel when it leaves.. I talked to the guy that Usually does all my scaling and he said it's probably mostly my anti role but could be a few other things like springs and shocks.. So I'm thinking about pulling my shocks and getting someone to revalve them and set them up for my car, them shocks have been on the car since I had a naturally aspirated engine in it..I was just wanting to get some opinions on the X under the 4 link but like said before with my wishbone it should get the job done for what I'm doing.. Thanks

The sway bar suggested is a good one

I have to pull timing as well. Here is another run (motor is gone before 300 and coasts to a 4.80) I missed on rod measurement class and this run was at 14.2 to one (maybe 15) with 108 over. the launch and up until the motor blew was really good.. 2.80 something to 330??? Don't have time slip. The above post has a really strong sway bar, that will help a lot. How hgh are your wheelie bars? And how tight are front shocks/ struts? The guy helping me with the chassis build had me send mine back to Strange to get "pro mod valving" they are super tight.

    I am way lower

I am at 4 and 4.5 inches, 90 inch bars from rear end center line. That is bottom of wheel measurement.

I run 4 and 4.5 on 90 inch bars. The combination of strut valving and a serious sway bar should get you close. Really cool car, by the way!
