Having the right tool made all the difference. Came off first try, fairly easy actually. Lots of metal transfer. Lumps on crank snout, keyways widened. Pretty nasty. I'll be sending it off to Marine Crankshaft to have them check it over (the original plan) and fix the snout. I looked for some kind of ID on the crank, and there are some numbers stamped and engraved on it, but I can't tell who made it. The only letters I can find are FA on the front counterweight. Hmmmmmm.

Gonna get me a new PSI titanium hub and degree ring to go back on it.

PS. Thanks again to Greg (GregM748) and the guys in Scott Bailey's Pro Mod pit in Vegas. They took me in and gave me a ton of advice to get started with my new setup...and a bunch of Snickers bars. Gotta love halloween in the pits!

Oh ya, great job getting the hub off. (we like pictures. :) )

    I call it....racecar porn. haha

man, i wish i didn't get home early yesterday (which means we wanted to actually race yesterday). The finals were crazy in PM. One car ran three 250mph passes in a row! Some crazy numbers thrown in. We are going to test and shoot for a 6.0x pass this next month. The owner (Scott) did NOT like sucking hind tit this weekend.

I put the crank in better light and found that the balancer had ground the manufacturers name off the counterweight when he did the balancing, but I can make out "ela" and part of a little crankshaft logo. Velasco it is.

Call me regarding the proper hardened hub keys, hub and bolt.

Velasco does the snout repairs, also.
