We just switched from a glide to a Lenco/Bruno 3 spd in a roots blown promod. The car smoked and shook at the 1-2 shift on a marginal track. I'm planning on installing a 72 Holley jet in the airpod for 1-2. Also going to pull some timing out at the shift point. Any suggestions on how to activate the retard. I have a 7531 digital 7 and a Bruno electric shifter that uses msd rpm switches to activate. The msd switches have a 12v output I can use but when it hits the shift rpm on the top end I think it will retard again.

    Thanks

I think you will find the 72 jet too large. Matt at Lenco said a 50 was a good starting point. If You are going to retard at the shift then you shouldn't need the Holley jet. Tee of the air pod and use a Hobbs switch. The Hobbs switch can then activate a step retard on the Digital 7 and you can ramp it back in. Tim McAmis sells a real nice air activated Hobbs switch.
