Single Wire Mag Kill Question

Silly question, BUT...
I have a long pluger style single wire mag kill switch on my car. Do I just run that wire to the + of the coil and use the steering wheel as a ground? I've always used 2 pole switches and shorted the mag (+ to -) on my other cars.

negative side of coil should already be grounded to chassis

just make sure the plunger case is making good chassis ground also

I ran a wire from ground side to plunger just to make sure
