    I want to know if it's better to use a secondary by-pass . I bought a Gerardot hat with a nitro b/v (alky) type . 509 BBC , 14-71 hi-helix, converter 3 speed lenco , 2500 stage rpm (with air cylinder on throttle) ,990 pump , 6 lbs idle valve .
I used before a secondary on birdcatcher and small b/v , 4 lbs , no pill on it
i did not have any problem with it for years ,but somebody tell me that is not necessary to have one , and take this B/V outlet for the pump saver.
    Thanks

your post is a little confusing. i think you are asking about using an idle check as a pump loop or a high speed. typically on a k valve you have a idle check and a pump saver then off the valve you can run a hi speed either off the port side or the side that goes to the d block. you can also do the pump loop or hi speed down off the top of the pump or off the shut off hope this helps.

Sorry if my question wasn't clearly asked.
    I have a 990 pump then i don't need pump loop , i have a idle check valve , and a have a pump saver installed with a '' T '' on the inlet port of the b/v .
What i have also is what i call a secondary by-pass . installed on the upper front size # 6 port on the b/v , it work only at 0 to 3/8 throttle to lean fuel during the burn-out. it's spring poppet at 6 lbs without pill on it . I want to know if i realy need this one , and instead of putting a ''T'' on the B/V inlet line for my pump saver , i can used this port for the pump saver to the hat line dist. block.
