I saw there was a thread on here inquiring to new safety products. I don't see it any longer, but I'll throw a response up for whoever it was. Diversatech has been producing the titanium sheilds for the roll cages, I believe they also have them in 4140 steel. I know Taylor has a 7 point belt system that seems to be the way teams are leaning for driver restraints. ISPSeats.com and Butler Built (sponsor to this site/link on top of page) have also come out with lateral head restraints. These are the best things we have put in our car. You get nice cushioning on all sides, which really helps with severe tire shake. Other than that, there's the R3, Hans, and Hutchens device for neck and back protection. Hope that helps.

Many thanks for the reply, I deleted the thread as had no replies and was not sure if it was a sore subject at moment....

The ISP head supports are exactly what I was after thanks for that.

Do any funny car/altered drivers run with a roll cage shield over there?
    Or something like this?
