    Hi.
I read on many post , guys talking to go near 9000 rpm at the end of quarter mile .
i never tried to go so high with my motor . Is it possible only with " real alcohol engine " ex: BAE . can i expect to rev. like that with bbc 509 c.i. , .825 lift , 360 lbs on seat & titanium valves . oddy's 400 darts heads that flows about 420 cfm at 800 lift ,14-71 hi-helix . Can i gain some speed or better e.t. with a standard bbc configuration to go this hi in rpm
What is the maximun rpm usable for this type of motor.
    Thanks

Most of the guys who spin their combos over 9k are doing so due to limited overdrive and must spin the motor that tight to get the boost up and thus the hp. if you are not limited on overdrive, spin the blower faster and keep the rpms down. Your wallet will thank you.
