    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

2005 PRODUCTIVE SEASON FOR RANDY MEYER

November 18, 2005 (Olathe, KS) – With the 2005 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series wrapping up, a year of heavy competition is coming to an end. The Spring Hill, Kansas resident and reigning NHRA Division 5 Champion has endured his share of glory and defeat this year.

“The 2005 season was a very good and productive season. Although, we did not get the World Championship, we did finish the year as the Division Championship and in the top 3 of the National points,” declared Meyer. “We were privileged to be the Division 5 Jeg’s AllStar representative and were the number one qualifier for that event. Although we didn’t grasp the World Championship, we accomplished a lot. Like most of the teams out here, we too had a hard time adjusting to the new 98% rule. It took everyone a few try’s to figure out everything.”

Randy Meyer Racing is home to the 2003 World Championship team and is accustomed to winning. Randy grasped an impressive top 3 finish in the National points standings in 2004 and was also the NHRA division 5 Champion. Meyer was also honored in 2004 by being named the NHRA division 5 Driver of the Year. Just the previous year in 2003, Meyer was named the Crew Chief of the Year.

Randy Meyer and the entire Randy Meyer Racing team would like to acknowledge Miller Industries Towing Equipment, Meyer Truck Center, Tow Rax, Valvoline, ARP, Autolite, Fram, Goodyear, Aeroquip, Bar’s Leaks Additive, Taylor Cable, Manley, BAE, Hogans, Moroso, Moritz Machine, and 888-CARWRECK for all their continued support.
