I am running a BBC, 500 inch ,10.200 deck, Dart 360 cast heads, and a monster glide. We run 6.0's 225 to 228 mph and about 45 psi boast.
What I have is a issue with # 1 and 2 go out at the hit egts are down, it recovers fast and the rest of the ride is good. I have leaned out the barrle valve to the point that the rear panel is starting to get hot and then I added 1 flat to be safe, in the pits the rear panel is cold . I am running 1 set of port injectors, and a red waterman fuel pump with a .750 gear, and a 44 amp msd promag.
Sorry for the pun but, how do I get this fixed w/o screwing up a psi screw blower ? Thanks for the help !!!

    1. What size nozzles do you have in the hat?
    2. Where are they pointed, straight down or tipped toward the rear?
    3. Do you run any check nozzles in the hat?

i would put 4.5 pound check nozzels on 1 and 2 for starters. i had the same problem when i started with a screwblower and tom anderson told me about putting the check nozzel on the problem ones.

I am trying to get a handle on this, you put the 4.5 psi check valves on the port nozzles on the cycinders that were to rich at the hit? this is my set up does it sound correct?
I checked the pressure behind the barrle valve and it is only about 1 psi at a idle about 2250 rpm's loaded, The port check is set at 10 or 12 psi, and if I under stand how this works the ports will not open until there is 10 or 12 psi of fuel pressure behind the barrle valve? . How does that effect the idle circuit , I hope that did not sound bad !!! I really appreciate your time and I am trying to learn this psi set up.Thanks again for your time :D

if your cylinders are out during idle that is your idle set up. if they are going cold when you bring the rpms up and definately cold when you go full throttle that will be ports. and you can control those front 2 cylinders with the check nozzels.
