    GIRL POWER RACING

    LOOKS FOR WIN AT HOMETRACK

The Girl Power Racing Team will return to their home track in Sonoma this weekend to compete in the Team Superstores NHRA Division 7 Summernationals at Infineon Raceway. The team will contest their Top Alcohol dragster against the best in NHRA's Pacific Division.

Girl Power Racing driver, Hillary Will, 25, got her start running at Infineon Raceway. 'I remember driving my super street car down this track when I was 17 years old; I was crossing the finish line at 123 MPH. I still can't believe that now I'm driving a dragster that reaches 270 MPH." Will advanced to the final round at this event six years ago in her 1971 Dodge Challenger. 'It would be very exciting for us to go to the final again and win the event."

The team has one win and one runner-up finish this year at NHRA national events. The have also qualified number one for three races in a row. With the Bucky Austin tune-up, the team is poised to compete for the Top Alcohol Dragster World Championship. 'It's great to be racing close to home," says Will whose race this weekend is about 5 hours away from her hometown of Fortuna CA. 'Many of my friends and family will be able to drive down to cheer me on, which often doesn't happen at the other races that are further away."

Racing action begins Friday at 4:00 with round one of qualifying for Top Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars. Qualifying continues into Saturday and Eliminations are scheduled to begin at noon on Sunday.
