Mick Snyder returns to Joliet

Mick Snyder, driver of the TORCO Race Fuels Top Alcohol Funny Car, will head to Joliet, Illinois this weekend to the CARQUEST Auto Parts Nationals. The 2004 Division 3 champion is returning to the track for the first time since he collected his first NHRA National Event win here last fall.

The second generation driver is looking forward to the upcoming weekend, “Over the past couple weeks we have been working to improve the performance of the car. Hopefully, some of the changes we’ve made will help us here this weekend.”

The Snyder Motorsports Race Team is based just an hour and a half away in DeMotte, Indiana. “This is the closest thing we have to a home track. Everyone comes out for this race. Last year it was so nice to win in front of so many friends and family. Confidence goes a long way in any competition and last year we proved that we can put together a winning performance at this track. Hopefully the trend will continue.”

The CARQUEST Auto Parts Nationals can be seen on ESPN2 on Saturday June 18th from 10 – 11 PM ET.
