Snyder Makes First Trip Down to Houston

This weekend, the Snyder Motorsports Race Team will head south for the first time in history from DeMotte, Indiana to Houston, Texas to participate in the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA POWERade Spring Nationals. The Team is anxious to get their TORCO Racing Fuels Top Alcohol Funny Car back on the racetrack after an uncharacteristic showing in the Gatornationals just two weeks ago.

Driver, Mick Snyder, the 24 year-old two time defending Division 3 champion, is looking forward to the upcoming challenge of the weekend. “We didn’t start off the year exactly like we would have wanted. We were kind of behind the eight ball after the first qualifying pass and we just never got back on track,” Snyder commented. “It was only one race though; everyone has an off weekend sooner or later. We went home and went about our normal routine and feel confident coming into this weekend. Hopefully, we will have this Snyder Motorsports/TORCO Racing Fuels Funny Car back into the winner’s circle again soon.”

Qualifying for the event will begin on Friday at 1:00 PM with a second run scheduled for 5:00 PM. The final qualifying shot will be at 10:30 AM Saturday and the first round of eliminations is set to commence at 4:15 PM. Eliminations will resume Sunday morning at 11:00 AM following the pros.
