Thacker Heads to Mid-Michigan

The TORCO Racing Fuels Top Alcohol Dragster driven by Marty Thacker is headed to Mid-Michigan Motorplex in Stanton, Michigan this weekend for their second divisional race of the season.

The Rapid Transit Racing Team, which finished third in a highly competitive North Central Division last season, is heading into the weekend with high expectations. They have been working on a new set-up for the divisional series and are very excited to see how it is going to perform.

Thacker, a record-holder at this complex on two separate occasions, has had much success at this race including winner and runner-up finishes in 2003 and 2004, respectively. The Team is hoping to repeat some of this success and pick up their first divisional win of the 2005 season.

"We are so fortunate to be associated with Torco Racing Fuels. Owner Evan Knoll and Manager Brian Pfifer have given us what we need to be a championship team again. Boltech and Atlantic Scaffolding have also renewed their support this year in an effort to help our racing program,” said Thacker.
