Wilson Racing unable to go backwards!

Stanton, MI. - This past weekend's NHRA / Lucus Oil Division event at the Route 66 in Joliet, ILL. just outside of Chicago was the 3rd Division 3 Event this year for the Torco Race Fuels / Wilson Racing Top Alcohol Dragster Team.

Wilson, from Winfield, Mo., the Torco Race Fuels / Wilson Racing Top Alcohol Dragster Team qualified 7th out of 23 with a 5.51 in one of the largest division fields of the year." You know its not your day when you break before the run. When I went to put the car in reverse after the burnout the car would not move. A snap ring broke in the Reverse Gear which would not allow me to back up, therefore the other competitor had a single run, of which he shook the tires! We know we are capable of running faster than we did this past weekend and we have in the past so we will continue to work hard to get back on track and into the winners circle". stated Wilson.

"This class is getting larger, more popular and more competitive each and every event." stated Wilson "On one hand we are very excited to see 23 Teams attend an event in the hopes of making the field, but on the other hand it is becoming tougher to qualify even for teams like ours that have been competing for years. Overall we all believe the growing interest in Top Alcohol is good for all involved including the fans and our sponsors".
