I have been packing a full size parts washer that mounts to a 55 gallon drum in my trailer. There has to be something more compact than this setup. What do the rest of you guys use? Dave Germain

    pump up

    Dave,

Get you a pump up pesticide sprayer in your local lawn & garden dept. Fill 'er up with Varsol, now you have a 'mobile' parts washer. Some people have the double throwdown pit pal style cleaning station that goes over the oil drum, but I usually just take the pump up sprayer over the drum to clean the pan, parts, etc, then one spray of brake clean when your done to dry it off, works real well, saves brake clean.

Dave, Bob Perkins sales a really cool fold up parts washer. You need to talk to him or Flash. I have one & love it.

Dave,....actually your set up is better than the norm...other than having
a parts washer mounted in a counter top...
..look at it this way,...you could go buy
the folding collapsable parts washer tray say from Pit Pal,
but you still have to set it up on a barrel, and it wont have a pump, so you would need to get a coke a cola tank and fill with solvent, pressurize it
everytime its out, and refill it when the solvent is gone, oh and buy jugs of solvent too.
So with what you have now,..how can you go wrong, other than its brought
out of the trailer on a hand dolly,...so does a barrel of fuel.

Just go with what you have it works fine...oh unless you want to buy a pit
pal collapsable parts washer and get it to fit your existing tank then you would have a larger area to wash parts in.

Been using that little parts washer for years. Works great for most things especially if room is an issue. Can get a little messy with cranks and heads due to their size. What's nice is you can get a few extra five gallon tanks to carry with you. When the fluid gets dirty, change it out and exchange the tanks when you get back home. They charge $5.00 for the tank deposit. It also has a filter inside.
