New style HANS posts with older device

Hi guys and girls.

I've just had delivered a new helmet from Simpson, and it has a new style of HANS posts installed into the helmet.

After looking on the hans site, they have made new posts which do not have big nutwashers behind them, with a big central allen key fastener in the center of the post.

Are these posts compatible with the normal tethers from a older HANS device? My device which I bought in 2009, and don't want to have to buy another device if I don't have to.

I'd like to think they made the new posts compatible with the older devices, but can anyone clarify?
